Jan Dries is invited to realize an art piece of his own choosing in the former republic of Yugoslavia. Together with his wive he resides in the Serbian capital for the duration of its production. The top stone can be moved in relation to the bottom one, thus creating a new balance. The experience is focused on the spot where both stones still touch. From 1960 onwards the splitting of pieces that can be combined and separated again is present in Dries’s art.
